I remember something similar if not the same thing posted and immediately thought of that small one with a low top speed.

Googled it, 62mph.

I can picture a lot of places that would work! However I think we've been increasing speed limits.

As we adopt self driving cars, I wonder if that speed will increase further. Maybe just for self driving cars.

US Homonglagation will result in a $30,000 price increase

Stubby79 01-26-2019 03:55 PM

I’ll take one. Could use a smile on the front bumper to go with the eyes...

Someone of influence might have a 120-decibel conversation with the DOT and NHTSA, and allow citizens to drive vehicles like these at their own peril.
It could sure help with the carbon dioxide balance sheet.

Not exactly. The low price may be an exaggeration.
An Australian view.

You can buy a brand new US made Leaf below that price point

It would not be competitive in this market.

RedDevil 01-27-2019 03:55 PM

1 Australian dollar = 0.716928 U.S. dollars, that may be of consequence.

According to https://www.news.com.au/technology/i...bf63074115a586 the Leaf would cost about 55,000 Aussie dollars.

freebeard 01-31-2019 06:36 PM

It has to compete with the Pickman:

Did I mention you need to be a DIYer to drive the Polaris? Judging by the complaints on the forums, many of the dealerships that sell them don\'t know how to maintain them and don\'t do warranty work.
