I found some good images of old Ford concept vehicles. I remember seeing these in a book many years ago. They actually gave Cd figures for concept cars back then. Manufacturers were proud of their low Cd figures.
They would even have call-out graphics on the cars that would give the Cd figure vs. engine size or horsepower.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
The front end is a little ugly ( you don't see it in these images ) but, yes its a pretty nice looking car overall.
Point twenty Cd .
I can add more images and info on the cars later.
I posted at 2:00 in the morning.

For now if anyone wants to know more about the cars, you can either follow the link in the first line of the above post, or just right click and save the image. The images give a full description of the model name and year of the vehicle.
The 1989 Via, and the 2001 Start look production ready. I like them both, and I like most of the other cars posted too. About half these cars are new to me, thank you very much for posting them Cd.
I wonder if Gerry McGovern worked on the Via, reminds me of the 2003 Mercury Messenger.
In 1989 Ford created the Ghia Via as a concept of what the sports car would look like in the year 2000
EDIT-2:
Guess old Gerry had nothing to do with the Ghia/Via project. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerry_McGovern
I'm guessing he saw it, and liked something about it though. Maybe someone on the project team was more instrumental and is a link between the two projects.
