P/S Delete on a '00 Corolla?
I want to either remove or disable the PS on the Green Goblin, I mostly do highway/freeway driving so I don't really need it. I heard there is a way to remove the fluid without harming anything, and remove some belt so the pump isn't running? Idk I'm confused and would love some advice. If it's possible, I would like a solution that would allow the ability to get it working again for re-sale without to much work.
Oh also, I would like to get a hotter sensor for my radiator fans, where would I look for one? |
I believe that you need to reengineer this:
http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...eltdiagram.jpg http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...elp-10688.html If you have one serpentine belt instead of individual belts, you would need to figure out a new route and a new belt. I have never heard of Aerolla, but in his garage, it says he deactivated the power steering on his 1997. I looked at about sixty other Corollas and nobody else even mentioned this modification! |
Oh wow... Well Nvm then lol. Oh well it was worth asking anyway.

It never hurts to ask--unless a woman will slap you! :D

Why don't you try buying a MR2 Spyder tensioner and serpentine belt? The MR-S has EHPS, no belt driven PS pump. I think that's all you would need to do. Just route like it is on the MR-S.

Toyota OEM Belt Idler Pulley - MR2-S, Lotus or FWD PS Delete - TOY-ZZIDLER van Toyota OEM -
I'm guessing you could get one from a Toyota dealer too |
If you really want to save money, a lot of people part out blown 1ZZ/2ZZ engines (and there are a lot of blown engines), you can get a pulley really cheap from them if you browse the forums.

If you can do the p/s delete for $50 to $100 and pick up 2 or 3 mpg it would be worth it.

Sure threw in the towel fast. Couldn't a shorter belt be run on the topside of the tensioner pulley?
