PAMVEC: Anyone tried it?

I have been looking at the PAMVEC spreadsheet which someone linked to awhile back. PAMVEC is a model for accurately predicting component sizing, horsepower requirements, MPG equivalents, etc. It is very impressive in its all inclusive nature, but it seems to give me the wrong numbers, and I had a few questions. I am wondering if anyone here has tried this program (Blue Bomber Man has apparently tried it with some success).

Anybody, chime in here:

~To test this model out, I tried using a known quantity, my 95 Geo Metro. I found pretty close quantifications for everything, but I am consistently getting a MPG reading around 11 to 19 MPG. Something must be way off, any ideas?

~ Metric inputs are a pain, is there some simple way to convert them to english units? It adds a major step of confusion for me, and maybe the root of my other problems.

~One other thing I noticed is that the software I have only does iterations to 1000, not 10,000. Not sure if this makes any difference.

Any ideas are appreciated. The Pamvec spreadsheet is here:

the actual spread sheet in xls format
an html view of the spread sheet.
a pdf of the actual thesis (281 pages)
