"Passenger Car Fuel Economy - Dyno vs. Track vs. Road"

Interesting older (Aug'75) comparison of 'dynamometer vs. track vs. road' passenger car fuel economy (FE): http://nepis.epa.gov/Exe/ZyPDF.cgi/9...y=9100X4SK.PDF

See Appendix 2 - Fuel Economy Results (page 24 of 30).

What caught my eye was the Firebird and the Continental both were still getting their highway rated economy at 70 mph. The Rabbit was still doing better their either of those cars but had dropped well off it's rating. The Continental was in it's element, those rear fender skirts were really paying off LOL!
