Passenger side mirror delete, complete

So my first eco-modification is completed (not counting the 5-speed swap haha). Also first time I used fiberglass. :)

I went for a stylish, factory-looking block-off plate using a spare mirror.

On to the pictures...

After rough shaping, on the car

A piece of plastic "foil" was taped on the outside to create a base for the fiberglass

On the car, finished

seamless

It's a pity that so few will ever realize what you've done, and all the effort that went into it.Truly a seamless modification which would embarrass even the automakers.Really top drawer! Thanks!

I agree, very well done indeed. I hope that you can see some good results from it.

Nice!

Weather Spotter 07-10-2011 01:25 PM

that looks almost exactly like what I did on my car. For me it was worth 1.4 MPG I think.

Are you going to add a mirror on the inside?

Floordford 07-10-2011 09:42 PM

I used black gorilla tape backed by a piece of cardboard. Yours looks much nicer. Good job.

Thanks everyone for the kind words ! :D

I was going to but I installed my outside mirror back for now. I did find a spot where I could do some A-B-A-B testing, I shall see when I feel like doing it. :o
