PORSCHE announces EV/Hybrid target

Last night on the PBS NewsHour, they mentioned a press release by Volkswagen AG's PORSCHE division, whereas by 2025, 50% of their production will be hybrids or EVs.Prices will start around $60,000.
(which would allow VW,AUDI,Lamborghini,SEAT,and Bugatti to share technology)

Here's hoping that Porche's press releases have a better chance at coming to reality than Volkswagon's have been in the past

If I had to guess,I'd suspect that PORSCHE's target demographic has very high expectations, and will hold them to it,or else.
Certainly, they've learned a lot from the 918 project. And VW already has EVs for sale in Europe.
It may be sourcing the batteries in quantity which is the real issue. We'll see.

Most of the times I see a 2nd-gen Panamera, it's already a hybrid.

There are about 10 different e badge Golfs here in Reno that I have seen, or maybe less being driven by different people. Causes me to believe that VW is producing and delivering EVs.

Suprising the level of them here, must be about 30 assorted various tesla , volt cars in my general neighborhood. I didn't count priaa. There is even a focus wagon.
