Well unfortunately exhausts and heater cores get old and break eventually. I've had to replace the heater core on all but one of my cars. And the exhausts on every one, constantly, except my van which has factory stainless exhaust. On 2 cars I built a stainless exhaust system so I would never have to touch it again. One's been going now for 8 years, one 6 years.

Yeah I've done a lot of work to my cars over the years, but it would never be worth it if I had to pay a mechanic to do it. Back when I bought my first 6000 wagon in 96, I didn't even know how to change my own oil. Now I can fix just about anything on the car.

Hope you get it figured out.
