Powered bed rails?

Google hasn`t helped me to locate a bed rail that lifts and lowers by motor, and I find it hard to believe my case is so unique that nobody markets them. My mother has fallen out of her bed a few times recently- meds make her so groggy that she just slides out and doesn`t wake up to stop herself until she hits the floor. With the range of motion and strength limitations in her shoulders, there`s no way she could raise or lower a regular swing away rail, and while my father is usually at home with her, there are still enough times she`s alone that she refuses to be "locked in" to her bed. An electric model with push button raise and lower would be sweet! But even in this day of powered everything, I can`t seem to find anything like that. Anybody know of one that I`m missing?

Hope I'm not off-base, but would using a body pillow as an easily movable block work?

Not off base at all, Frank. Since I don`t think I`m going to find what I`m looking for, a different angle is probably the best bet, and that particular angle is one that hadn`t occurred to me. Might be tricky finding a sweet spot between big enough to stay put and "chock" her in and so big that there`s no room left for my dad, but it`s worth a shot if nothing better comes up. A good bit cheaper than my possibly mythical electric rail, too.

Both my parents are fall risks. In the hospital the bed alarms when it senses a weight shift and the rails are also activated by the outside of bed. They also park their mobility devices far away from the bed.

They use these bed grab rail like.
