after 65 mph
Yeah, that's the velocity-cubed power law working it's magic. Over 65 in the truck, there's an aural sensation as the wind noise builds. And is shows at the gas pump.

Yeah, I’m thankful for the ~60 MPH speed limit here. I P&G even lower than that as well.
Found this today. Pretty dang low KM, but still high priced like everything else:

I like the Prius for the fact that I can relax and get great fuel economy, but at the same time I’m really attached to my Civic. Can’t get the greatest FE but boy do I have so much fun doing it, and the thing never does die mechanically. I wish they’d make a newer, slightly larger Gen 1 Insight! Closest I can think of is the CRZ, but that doesn’t even get very good mileage or performance, for what it is.
Something I have realized is that a Prius would possibly be better on the winter. I’m sure it’s somewhere around 3800lbs compared to the 2500lbs of my car. Could make a big difference going through snow and keeping traction on ice.

As a commercial vehicle driver for many years (from sedans to Suburbans to full sized school buses) in Colorado ski towns, I've found that the weight has very little too do with traction. A couple of the best 2WD snow traction vehicles I've driven were very light.
It has more to do with the ratio between contact patch size and weight. A light vehicle on narrow tires is the same as a heavy vehicle on wide tires. Note that dedicated winter tires have a narrower tread even with the same width tire on paper. A Civic is a great vehicle for driving in the snow with the right tires.

That Prius looks to be priced right to me. 2007, 78K km, $5500 CAD. That is really low kilometers for the year. Around here I would expect to pay $4,000 to $5,000 for a Prius with double the mileage.
I sold my 2005 with almost 150K miles for $3500 USD back in 2016
I traded the 2009 with 120K miles for $5500 back in 2018.

Hm. Maybe I should look into it. With the prices going on right now I could probably get a more or less decent amount for my civic. At the same time, I’ll probably miss it. I have a tendency to fall asleep in automatics.Maybe I’ll go ask to take for a test drive.
I actually have some winter tires on it already, but I guess they’re the wrong ones. OTOH, I’m a pretty terrible driver; it’s probably the nut behind the wheel causing problems.
Just noticed: that’s miles on the odometer, not km. Guy’s tricky, lol. That’s more like 100k km or so. Still quite good.

I have a lot of respect for anyone that self-identifies as a terrible driver. Practically nobody is willing to even say they are worse than average, but half of everyone is worse than average.

That price isn't surprising considering the condition. 200K miles and:

Right now is about the best time to sell an extra car you don't need.

Sheesh, I’ll buy it for $400 jk, I’m too far away.
Yeah, I’ve not paid much money but boy have I spent hours trying to fix problems I create by driving with incredibly(!) poor judgement. Me driving is like a live comedy routine.
Those prices look closer to what I’m seeing, for cars with more than 200,000k km! This seems like a pretty good deal atm.
I might just stick with what I’ve got, though. I’m now attached to my clapped-out bomber, but maybe it’s the wrong move. Paid $1600 for it, unsure what I could sell it for now.
