It sounds like a case of the first 70% of the work taking 50% of the time, and the remaining 30% taking 150% of the time.

My projects invariably seem to take 200% of the time to complete that I estimate, even when I make that time a very big number.

I look forward to seeing your updates in this New Year which I hope will see everyone making good progress on their projects.

It sounds like you have the same problem I do, with getting part way through a project and then realizing how it could have been done better. Then I want to scrap and start over pushing the completion date even farther away. Better becomes the enemy of good enough.

cheers,
Michael

Hi all, I promised a post to bring things “up-to-date”

This image shows where I am right now (start 2017).

I’ve got a couple of jobs before I undertake my next test ride. That’s just fitting a digital engine temp gauge and bleeding the brakes, so I’m confident I’ll get this done before the end of Jan.
Work then moves on to the compliance work to get the registration inspection done. Some things are done, eg: rear view mirrors, sidestand, etc. So I hope to be on the road by end of April.

This is an interim update - end of Feb 2017 which is already a month behind my schedule for the next step video

But i have an excuse!
I thought I would finish some of the bodywork
It will look better in the video, and I've got to do it anyway, before the MSVA inspection

So here are a few pics

Just got to bleed the brakes and its ready for another test ride
Next update soon (i hope)
