Putting a Completely New Engine Oil Chemistry in a Cummins Engine

At around 7mins 42 seconds he gets into In-Depth Oil Analysis Results.
NB the Boron ppm and the water ppm.
Both drop dramatically.

So while the use of Copper as a lubricant is interesting, where did the Boron Esters go..?

That's the 3rd video in a series on the new copper based lubricant.
Videos 1 and 2 are here:

It slipped past me, apparently. Where is aerohead when you need him?

I don't click youtube videos without a description of what is discussed - and honestly think most of what is on YouTube would be better as an typed article.

That said, working for an automaker and seeing what we do to certify an engine to use a new oil* only reenforced the idea that it is best to use the recommended oil and follow the factory maintenance schedule.

*(About 18 months of testing and millions of dollars)

If not a description at least a comment or reaction.

This the 1st linked Video:

"Where's aerohead":
After reading all you read in the other post you conclude that you are still clueless and have no idea where the Boron Esters and Water went!?
REALLY!????
Did all that really still fall into your: "I don't know whatTF's going on!? Best to stay away!" category?

Worse still: Conclude that aerohead is cleverer than you and does in fact know what's going on!??
Because he waved a smoke stick at a vehicle (but made no iterative changes, which is why manufacturers do it) and said stuff like 'Vena Contracta' emphatically..?
Ever asked him to please explain Vena Contracta or any of his vast list of acronyms?
Because if he in fact does; he can...

I quite agree. But I have not found a written article showing a decrease in Boron Esters and Water .

That's not the question. The question is: Where did the Boron Esters and Water go?
NB that this is water from HC+O2=H2O+C: the main but never mentioned end product of combustion, getting into the oil via blowby.

All that testing is by people making and SELLING engines to make money.
ie: Sell more engines = make more money.
Hypothetically: How many engines would they sell if they never wore out..?

Yes! It'd be terrible if you had to start doing your own thinking!..?

10 out of 10 for subject changing. Most diplomatic!
