Quarter Year Tank

This has nothing to do with modding or hypermiling techniques, but I have gone 3 months on my current tank by walking to work, and avoiding long trips.

I have access to another car so it is not that great of a success, but at least it shows I have some discipline to not use my car as much as I used to.

If I had to, I could sell my car and go without, because I live close enough to stores and restaurants, and less than a mile from work.

So having done that, its summer so now I can fill up the tank and drive around and joyride for fun. It kind of sucked to pay car payments and insurance for the privilege of having a car sit in my driveway unused.

That's one of the reasons I'm building a car just for me that does what I need it to do. This will save me from having to insure two or more vehicles.
