Rear Quarter Rust Repair/No Welding

So what's everyone's opinion about spot welding the patch panels onto the rear quarters? I think think that I could get tongs that would be long enough. It may even minimize the chances of warping the sheet metal.

Here's a couple video's of "Lord Fusor" panel bond, and "3M 8115" panel bond.
We sell both at my store but, you should be able to pick these products up at your local paint jobber store. We also rent the dispensing gun out like a lot of other jobbers.

As long as you apply some rust-prevention treatment to those patches, it's not a bad idea at all.
