Been nearly a decade since I drove much in CA, and I stuck mostly to the coast.

no bumps at all. whole drive felt like gliding. looked like the pic i posted. very very hard solid smooth ground

That was a disaster of a road at one point, and I took the '85 Dodge Ram screaming through there every day to work at 5:30am to get to my brick mason assistant job I got out of prison. Caught air once in the van.

Motorcycle was a hoot. Once passed a car and pulled a wheelie as I crested a hill side-by-side. The kids in the car were giving thumbs up.

It's been repaved several times since then and smoothed it out quite a bit. The train tunnel around a hairpin corner you don't want to blow.
