Hello,
I discovered a tire mod that increases mpg by up to 20%.
I have called them Rocket-tabs. I am looking for someone to give them a try.

What does the mod do? An you provide any more info?

They are small foam tabs that are glued to the tires. They gently move the air away from the sides. I have over 40k of tested miles.

You got a link to any further info? With claims of 20%, id like to see something... pics maybe?

So from the pics and install directions, they’re a vortex generation tab that you glue to the sidewall of the tire... can they be removed from the tire without damaging either the tab or the tire, or do we need to buy a new set for each tire change?

They can be removed with damage. A very small line of super glue remains. I would think if removed carefully they can be reused.

For $25 a set I’d surely hope they could be reused... it adds about 15% to the cost of each of my tires

I don’t see someone with smooth wheel covers benefiting though, the vortex generator on the tire kinda defeats the purpose of the smooth wheel cover

My mistake. I have had no damage to the tires other than the small amount of glue left behind. The 25 dollar price is installed. $5.99 for a set with extras. Again sorry for the error.

I have not tested with the smooth hubcaps. All I can say is my wife is very happy with the results. She has the rogue, it went from 22mpg to 27-28mpg. She does drive like she stole it.
