I hadn't been keeping a close eye too. Recently it had been harder to find any relevant info.

It is about time one of these good ideas finally makes its way into production.

With stricter emission regulations on the way, it might finally become a reason for mainstream automakers to quit being too proud when it comes to incorporating technologies from startups.

I still suspect there may be an advantage to the single-crankshaft design within a particular range of engine sizes.

What might be more troublesome for the single-crankshaft design is that, much like boxer engines, this layout becomes more suitable to a longitudinal engine position which used to be the rule but now is the exception when it comes to light-duty vehicles.

I was going to mention earlier that perhaps at least some of the picturesque, orange wooden fishing boats at Mar del Plata in Argentina may still be powered by Rootes-Lister TS3 marine engines.

AFAIK they're still around, with the same old faithful engines.

I don't know if it would be worth the trip to go see them, but if you do, check if any are still around, and accessible, before you go.

I don't expect to go to Argentina so soon.
