RV rooftop fairings
Orbywan is the only individual I know that addressed this technology, creating a streamlined fairing for the rooftop Coleman AC unit on his Ford-chassis RV motorhome.

resemblance to 1920
If the link works, a glance back 100-years to Paul Jaray's 'pumpkinseed'.

I like trolley tops. www.pinterest.com/reneperret/trolley-top-trailers/
In extremis, they would act as a rooftop fence to kill lift when the trailer goes sidways.

There are videos of overturning RVs online. It's pretty terrifying.
I think that center of pressure issues can be resolved without adding leverage arms to the roof.

IIRC you had a flying trailer experience yourself.
The reason I like them is the clerestory lighting.
Quote:
Clerestory
In architecture, a clerestory is a high section of wall that contains windows above eye level. The purpose is to admit light, fresh air, or both. Historically, clerestory denoted an upper level of a Roman basilica or of the nave of a Romanesque or Gothic church, the walls of which rise above the rooflines of the lower aisles and are pierced with windows. Similar structures have been used in transportation vehicles to provide additional lighting, ventilation, or headroom.

Headroom with less frontal area?

flying
That was because of the condition on I-70. It was the pressure ridge in the asphalt which launched Viking into the air.
As to headroom. I'll take my cues from billionaire's corporate jets. They have just enough headroom to walk the center, and otherwise, are satisfied to remain seated for the duration of the flight. I've been permitted to looked a bunch of them at the Denton Airport.
You pay for frontal area.

The large dome reminds me of a post I did in another forum on 7/30/2022.
Remote controlled turret.

Quote:
As a defensive armament, it was of little practical use, as the radar operator’s illuminated instruments screens degraded his low light vision. The turret was directed by a sighting arm which sat atop a rotating column with firing controls in the grips and fitted with an N-6 reflector sight.

Black Widow
We discussed this a decade or so ago. The design could be considered the 'gold standard' for streamlining.
