Reading all of this is interesting. Recently I've noticed my IAT at 150 or above (ambient temps at around 90 outside) and at the same time, my MPGs have been suffering. I HAD assumed that the car didn't like these temps, but reading this post makes me think that perhaps something else is going on...
Also, my IAT is mostly due to under-hood temps being high as a result of the underbody and grill block. What is a safe limit for under-hood temps?
