SAM's Club/ COSCO electric cars
It's not inconceivable that 'club' members could one day purchase an electric car like a gross of potato chips.
* Only one model ( the Model-T of BEVs )
* Drive one home from the store
* All cars pre-wired for plug-and play options/upgrades
* Parts availability at all WalMarts, nationwide, Canada, Mexico,...................
* Service availability at all WalMart locations, nationwide,.........................
* WalMart auto insurance?
* WalMart auto financing ( high-school student income gets you into a 'stripper' version ) [add options as finances improve over time ]
* Wal Mart total roadside assistance and towing ?, nationwide.............................
* Home delivery? Why not?
* WalMart in-parking-lot Electrify America charge stations, nationwide..........
* There'd never be 'advertising' expenses added to the price. You know about them by word of mouth and membership.
* There'd never be 'dealership' expenses added to the price. They're just there, in the store. Want one? Just ask any store associate for assistance
* Cheaper than online purchase.
* WalMart 'used-cars? Sure!
* Breakdown on a road trip? No worries! Whatever you need is at every 'next town.'
* each few of years, WalMart saves enough by never advertising that, it can pay cash for a new manufacturing capacity.
* Never has to borrow money.

That would be nice. One news article I saw said "if you could buy a Toyota Corolla from Costco, it would lower the sticker price by up to $2,500".
Only problem I see is if Walmart launched their own Walmart branded car, it would probably be made in China.

Sold in Stores: 1952 Allstate Henry J - Barn Finds
Feb 19, 2017 • For Sale • 52 Comments Sold in Stores: 1952 Allstate Henry J Jeff Lavery Perhaps one of the more unusual chapters in the American automobile industry is when Sears attempted to sell automobiles. Not service them or even accept trade-ins, but just to move product off the books as if it were a flannel shirt or a microwave.

Had it been an absolutely bare-bones fleet spec, following a strategy roughly similar to what Henry Ford used to do, and now Toyota does for some NGOs through a distributor in Gibraltar, possibly it could bring the sticker price down a little at least.
