i know most of us here are here to save money at the pump, especially the starving students like me

A couple of days ago i switched my route and since taking the new route I'm saving $0.70...that's 70 cents per day or about 18%. Before it was costing me about $3.90 per day in fuel and now its down to $3.20...im trying to break into the under $3.00. As a result my mileage went down but the trip isn't as long so it ends up costing me less.

hell my main goal was 3 days to work on a tank 390ish miles ( depending on route, in the 98 4x4)
18 gallon tank lets say 2 gallon spare so 16 gallon and 390 miles = 24.3mpg.
may not sound hard but on a 4x4 that the highway is 20 mpg, and combined is 17mpg. it is a little feat.
before here my max was 2 tank of 24 mpg, use to average 18-20mpg. i thought it was unheard of to do better. then i started gettin 28-29 regularly with practice and warm weather.



but lil goals and saving, and personal records make u happy.
