Some versions of the previous-generation Transit were imported to America for evaluation by long-distance drivers, from both FWD and RWD configurations. Too bad the FWD in the new generation was restricted to a sub-model badged as Transit Custom, already available in Mexico but only with van bodies (previously there were a chassis-cab versions for the FWD too).
