There was a sort of scan gauge for obd1. I have one that would read GM, Ford, and Chrysler products.

I looked into the SuperMID when Basjoos mentioned it before. Yoshi, the guy that makes it, is reclusive, overwhelmingly busy, or something. There do not seem to be very many units in existence, so information is scarce.
