ScangaugeII Problem

I purchased a scangaugeII within the last couple of weeks and overall I'm pretty satisfied with it. It gives me all kinds of good data. The problem I have is on both of my 1997 Explorers. It doesn't give me MPH or MPG readings. It gives me everything else including GPH, doesn't make any sense. It works on everything else I connect it oo. Obviously it is OBDII compliant. The scangauge people have been nonresponsive. They only way to contact them is via email and they do say on there site that they do get a lot of emails, but it has been over a week. Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Thanks

Terry
