Tell me how well

a Scangauge will work for me....

I E-ON-C every chance, use cruise when applicable, turn off ignition at long lights and limit my top speed on the highway.

I have read that the Scangauge is better for 'Load' driving and wonder how well that will work for me since I coast as much as possible.

Just basically wondering if there is a better (as or more accurate with easier setup) instrument out there.

My factory MPG average gauge is close to 10% off at all times and reads on the high side.

The scangauge should work just fine for you. You should be able to dial it in within a couple percent. Lots of people here use engine on and engine off coasting and the SG monitors both pretty well. The only thing the SG isn't very good with is diesels and lean burn engines. Even then, if you drive consistent and your commute is consistent I'd think the SG would be able to be dialed in pretty well.

I agree. A Scangauge should work fine for you. An Ultragauge works just as well, with much easier and faster setup, for less than half the price.
