scanner output to stereo input

let me start out by saying that my car has a JVC KW-NT3HDT head unit. its a double din touchscreen dvd/nav/everthing else system that came with my car. i would probably never spend this much on a glorified stereo, but the nav is nice and the rest of the features will probably come in handy, especially if i hook up a backup camera for it. with that said, i am interested in getting something like an MPGuino. my head unit has an AV in, is there any way to get the MPGuino to output a video signal, maybe by simulating a display? is this even possible? it would be just one less thing to add to the dash.

Doubt it without dedicated chips for it.

You could possibly set up something like this via Android and Bluetooth. Some headunits can run apps, so maybe you could run torque that way. Personally, I find I need my fuel instrumentation in my line of sight for maximum usability and safety, a stand alone on top of the factory instruments is ideal.

this one is not android based, so no apps. its probably a no go anyways because i dont know if i could get it to display the video, while playing audio from another source. i am also considering MPGuino or something to make my iphone work.
