So what would you say the gain in MPG for these would be?? Just a ballpark figure from what you have been experiencing??

Also, when you wash the car do you think it will come off?

Hi,

My guess is that the zigzag tape has boosted the FE 1 (and maybe as much as 2) miles per gallon. My previous tank was ~44.5mpg, and currently the SGII sez ~46.6mpg -- some of that difference was running in the rain for part of the tank.

I don't think that the tape will come off in water -- rain or by washing. It is Gorilla tape, after all.

The other improvement in my driving has been accelerating for 3-5 seconds at the top of a hill, to improve the coasting down the hill. A version of pulse & glide; when it has the best payoff.

Looking good!

The lower grille had a good payoff for me, I think.

I really need to get around to fixing the rear parachute...

Hi,

I think the foam gasket sealing the front edge of the hood is very helpful. I have this on my xA and my wife's xD. That reminds me: I need to take some pictures of her car and post them...

I've decided that my goal will be to keep my mileage above 40mpg through the whole winter. This will be a real challenge, since I run full snows, and cold weather gasoline just doesn't go as far...

Yeah, plus the cover looks really clean. I have a top one made for winter with some holes in it, so it doesn't look quite as pretty.

I can't think of a good way to seal the rear, to get the front of the tray attached to the bottom of the car.
Plus the whole exhaust pipe is in the way, haha.

Bad night time pic:

Neil, get those xD pics! I still think it looks goofy, lol.
Maybe I am just jealous of the 1.8L!

Hi,

I like my 1.5L just fine -- I can only imagine what kind of FE I could get with proper (much taller) gearing!

So you have to get one from an Echo!

I have the auto with the taller 4th overdrive gear, that's the only benefit however.

I would like to see how your under tray connects around the middle of the car.
