I was thinkng of things that inspired me to do what I do, if it meant scrapping an oe setup entirely....
- target engine - all the facts about it
- find other cars with similar specs
- what worked the best?
- the body specs
- find cars similar weight
- what worked the best?
This was easy for me. I run a 3 main boxer engine liquid cooled. I even resorted to italy and alfa romeo...not may choices leave ideas out like a sore thumb.
at 1590 CC, a turbo....old school stuff...215hp.
That tells me my 1781cc is a slob...as turbos add 70% maximum on real dynos (and 3 main boxers need real dynos) and be streetable.
at 1781cc on same power scale, the car should be 160-180hp for same fuel...and I am at 90.
I then realized, I have done this for every car I have ever owned. It is difficult especially if it is common, and a stampeded of wrong fact can leave you in your tracks, not wanting to make any changes...
Challenge this stagnite way...
there is ALWAYS something to change.
Some of the questions form the get go are a sign of this stagnite. Targetting the little things, when bigger thoughts could really conquer. it is called marketing. marketing equals the stagnite anti evolve.
