I wish the hybrid front was more bulletlike instead of that big fake mouth they put

That's the one, sans fog lights. Funny thing the past couple of days the temps have dropped 20-25F and the mileage is definately lower.

At 70F it would show 41-42 mpg at 60 mph and the lower temps have dropped it by 2-3 mpg on the highway.

My in town mileage is at all time highs with some of the tricks learned so far.

Oddly enough, the 2001 Lexus 430 also had a .25 Cd despite having rounded back end :
didn't have that car a 0.29Cd? it would still be pretty good considdering it's a relatively boxy desing.

Lexus LS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cd for the 2000 - 2003 LS430 was .26, - .25 with the optional air suspension.
( Yes ... it's the boxy third generation version )

This is with the built in average computer. Real data says it reads high by 2-3 mpg.
If you can leave 5 minutes earlier and drive 5 mph slower you'd get the best bang-for-the-buck in terms of cost/benefit. Aero mods are good but make sure you don't negate the benefits by driving faster!

Hey - it's understandable. I hardly believe it myself. If a box like that can have a Cd equal to that of a first generation Insight, why can't all cars have such a good Cd ?!
Another 'box' that comes to mind is the 1937 Tatra T77 with its upright windshield and rain gutters. point 212.

Sorry to steer this thread off topic. How is that Hyundai coming along ?

As i mentioned earlier, the LS430 had rounded flanks, yet still had good flow separation at the back. Apparently, your car does good with some help back there. It would be a shame to 'ugly' up your car, but buy using a strip of clear tape, you could make a trip strip at the tail end of the car just to see if it helps at all.

I have begun to see just how much I can do to improve the numbers. All the numbers posted were taking with cruise on. Last tank was 34.6 combined and this car is rated at 28 combined. Not bad for a courier....
