Inside certainly does look good.

$2k though, for something needing a major repair? I wouldn't...not again anyway! It would have to be "the one" I'd been waiting for, other than the repair. In my case, it would at least have to be BLUE.

Patience and persistance goes a long way for finding a good deal or at least "the one".

You do you though.

I don't need new projects, at least without personal benefit. Am I going to brag about how much I paid for this red beauty and that I fixed the transmission myself?

elling for my elderly mother, Maintained and serviced regularly. Drives excellent which it should considering it only has 165××× miles. It's a TOYOTA NEED I SAY MORE? $4800.00 takes it no holds and no trades. Does have some Arizona sun fade and a few dings. Cold A/C and mechanically sound. T

Kelley says that it is worth around $4,662. I will post the pictures after I finish my notes.

Ah yes. The pictures... of the car. The pictures of the car. The car's pictures:

A third Corolla has entered the chat--for sale market.

All three Camries that I have shared are still on Facebook. There is more supply than demand, therefore these cares have less value. Also, they aren't selling at their asking price, so clearly they are overvalued.

Odd. Only 1 Camry that I shared on November 11th is still up, but there are still 3!

This 2009 Toyota Camry listed 5 weeks ago for $6,000 with 203,000 miles.
This 2011 with 202,000 miles. It is the one with the scrape, which isn't as bad as some people claimed. It was posted 19 weeks ago and the owner is asking $4,500.

Curious. This guy was selling a 2001 Celica and a 2009 white Camry. He asked $4,500 for the latter:

This guy posted a white 2009 Camry with 174,000 miles yesterday. He doesn't say for how long he owned it and doesn't share the VIN or show the license plate, so I cannot look up its history. He does mention "Needs speakers in the front and needs the front rotors replaced."

How hard can that be?! Any monkey can replace the rotors! I replace them in Mom's car!

Kelley says that it is worth $4,533 in good condition in $5,682 in excellent

YourMechanic says a shop would charge $380. RepairPal isn't cooperating.

Angie's List says that it would cost at least $100 to install speakers. I bought some 20 years ago, but never opened the box. Do you think those would work?!

Good luck convincing anyone that a car is in excellent condition while simultaneously advertising that it needs $500 in repairs!

"I don't know, $5,500 seems high. A car like this just sold for $4,500."
[The guy that spent $4,500 for the car a few days ago]: "....."

Right! The aforementioned Corollas! The Corollas that were mentioned before. The Corollas.

The 2004 Corolla that was stolen at least once, the owner contradicted herself, it only had a transfer of title, a constellation of dents, bad struts, and 185,000 miles.
This 2005 Corolla with 204,000 miles has been up for 3 months!
This 2005 at that questionable dealership for $3,300. Google says the dealership posted the car November 18th.

Bizarre. I am missing the middle section of my post! They sold a 1999 Accord 2.3l with 194,000 miles for $1,400, but it is a rebuilt burgundy coupe, so few, if any, parts from the body would swap over, and they would have been the wrong color. However, it had nice rims, and must have better tires, so those would be worth some hundreds. I could have swapped the wheels, sold it for $1,400, and broken even.

They posted this 2001 Accord a week ago. It is silver, which is at least significantly closer to my car, but it is also a coupe, and a V6. Those have wider wheels with 5 lugs.

How many parts from the 3.0 l engine bay fit in the 2.3 l engine bay?

It has hood struts instead of a prop and everything besides the engine is reversed from side-to-side.

Not only do they not specify the mileage, but when they show the dash, they hide the odometer behind the steering wheel!

However, My CarFax says that it had 278,000 miles a year ago!

They have a 2005 Highlander mechanic's special for $500. They don't specify what is wrong with it, but it looks clean and undamaged, so the engine and\or transmission?

2011 Xbox with 193,000 miles for $3,000. It's a manual! It is 3 years newer than the grandmamobile that I shared earlier and has 28,000 additional miles.

It is only rated 22/27!

How?!

Finally, they have a 2011 Yaris. VehicleHistory says that it has 202,000 miles. It is rated 29/36, which is underwhelming for such a small car, but the EPA says that I would save $700 a year in gas over my Accord, and only spend $50 a year more than I would if my Civic were drivable.

You know, one of these days I need to fix my HX instead of looking at other cars!

Since Metro said the $600 Saturn that sold quickly had too many miles, here is a 2006 Charged Particle with only 161,000 miles!

Except they are asking an extra $2,200 for a car that is 5 years newer and with 40,000 fewer miles.

$2,800 still cannot get you a great car in this economy?!

It has that stupid center instrument cluster, it is only rated 23/27 (how the heck is that "Very good on gas?!), and it has a bad refrigerant leak!

Ac has a leak, I charged it recently and it blew super cold for a day and the 134 leaked out. Should be an easy fix.

The lady selling the previously-stolen Corolla officially reduced the price to $2,000. Does that mean that she will come down to $1,800 when you mention it needing a $500-600 repair? Nobody will ever know! Just like why did my laptop wake up and start playing an annoying video in the middle of the night?!

Or why Mom and my brother are awake at 0322?!

Suzuki pickup for sale

Something is appealing about this thing!
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...0500925303631/

Honestly, the Escort wagon from the beater thread might be better for hauling. If you fold down the seats it probably has more cargo area than the Suzuki. Here is a transmission for $328.50: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Automatic-T...3/184458880425
