Is this worth $200?

I emailed this guy that said his Geo was a "good little car" until his son ran it into a dirt bank. Now there is front end damage, and it needs control arm mounts cleaned up and probably fixed... he wants $200 for it.

Not sure if it's a 3cyl or not. BTW, Wonderboy, it's located just above Ithaca, so it might be a good parts car for you, if you're interested.

If it's a stick shift, and I had an automatic I would buy it for a manual swap for $200, no prob. Specially if the tires are good. Having a spare engine to take your time rebuilding while still driving is convenient too.

Well I'm picking up an old tdi this weekend and *might* be moving the 98 metro stick 1L if the TDI checks out.

I'd rather restore the TDI than be given the Metro, even in inspection worthy condition, honestly.

(Keep in mind, we're talking about PA inspection here... one of the worst in the country.)

No, I like them, just that I like TDI's more. I won't travel very far for a car, either, as it's just not worth it to me, and in most cases, I have no way to haul a car home anyway.
