section 169.70 REAR VIEW MIRROR.
Every motor vehicle which is so constructed, loaded or connected with another vehicle as
to obstruct the driver's view to the rear thereof from the driver's position shall be equipped with
a mirror so located as to reflect to the driver a view of the highway for a distance of at least
200 feet to the rear of such vehicle.

Super Vague but that means that I can get rid of outside side mirrors and install them inside the cabin.

4. Mirrors: All motor vehicles which are so constructed or loaded that the operator cannot see the road behind such vehicle by looking back or around the side of such vehicle shall be equipped with a mirror so adjusted as to reveal the road behind and be visible from the operator's seat.

So I interpret this as, you don't need any mirrors at all as long as you can look out the rear window or stick your head out the side window and look backwards. Does that sound right to everyone else?

That's what it sounds like to me. I wonder what the law is for motorcycles since you can always look back.
