Smart peeks into our future of vehicle sharing

The Smart Vision EQ ForTwo serves as the next model of a highly individual mobility that is versatile and flexible. People would request a Vision EQ via their smartphone/device and the vehicle pick them up and take them to their desired locations. It would match your personal profile with other carpooling passengers. EV, with a 30 kWh lithium-ion battery, fully autonomous, full communication capabilities, friendly and highly personalized. There is no need for steering wheel and pedals. It would have external display screens and emotive 'eyes' headlights to communicate with its ride-sharing passengers and pedestrians. When not in use, it connects to the nearest charging station. The Daimler/Smart corporate strategy, CASE or Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Electric, would serve as the future model of a connected ride-sharing infrastructure.

I seriously doubt they're gonna let these automotive robots drive on pedestrian walkways, although, "bowling-for-dummies" might be interesting to watch...from a distance.
