... and you can purchase a brand new Chevy Bolt 260 mile range EV, 200 horsepower, 5 seater for ~$26,000. There will be 7 people interested in purchasing this; 2 will go through with it.

While I agree that this company is dead on arrival I wouldn't count of people being logical.
Polaris has sold tens of thousands of $25,000 Slingshot "motorcycles"

Understand these companies have
1 thing going for them
Bolt $665 title + registration
Sondors $25 title+ biannual registration
That is rather important if you keep your car.

Gotta wonder what doubles the price?
I’m guessing low expected sales volumes drive the cost.
Ah well.

Auto manufacturing is an impossible market to get into now. The existing players have the advantage, and the only way to make it is either a brilliant marketing strategy, or doing something radically different AND better than the existing manufacturers.
The EV market is going to contract for the next couple years, so this is about the worst time to jump in.
Raising $449,817 is a joke. You can't launch a car company on that kind of funding.

Half a million will get you a multi-spindle torque tool to tighten the lug nuts.

Call it an Elio, a Solo or a Sondors, I don't care. I want one.
I want a minimalist car. Not minimalist in the sense of the absolute crap they pretend to offer just to justify higher price points for the rest of the fleet, but just plain less. You can make it nice, even spacious- but on a frame like this you can still make it less.

I much prefer the 3-wheel; but this appeared tonight with in-line seating:
