Will do that mcrews, I will need some advice on maintaining the hybrid battery if it takes a long time to get the car fixed. It was built 4-12 and has just over 6k miles, so it has probably been off the road for 5 or 6 months.

I'm not going to go very high one the price, when I first posted about it it was at $1100, now it is just under $3k. I will know in the morning before lunch.

regards

I wouldn't be afraid to get a flooded car if I could get it considerably cheap. But the entire vehicle needs to get dismantled, washed, the electronics to be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and then get all reassembled.

It's a 2012... so there should be no corrosion from a single dip in water.

Parting it out would cover the purchase cost easily if it goes for under $3k. Then you use the light, aerodynamic shell and shove a nice new motor into it.

The old man (72) who owns the body shop called me and told me the plugs had been pulled from the engine, so it had injested water, with potential bent connecting rods and other damage. I was going to bid $5500 but with that knowledge I dropped the bid to $4500.

It went for $6600 without the additional $3-400 in fees. Maybe next time but I don't need it that bad. Already have 7 vehicles total and I need to sell 3 of the bikes this spring.
