A sign from the online classified gods?
What do you make of it when someone posts an actual photo of your own actual car in their "car wanted" ad?
That's my photo. I took it almost 14 years ago at the seller's house just before I bought the car - it's the Metro my buddy and I made into the electric ForkenSwift.
They must have done a quick image search for a Firefly/Metro/Swift pic to use and grabbed it from my build thread or website.
Weird!
I still have the shell of that car too. I contacted the buyer to see if he wanted the drivetrain from the Metro or convertible, and then I noticed he said he wants an automatic. Oops.

My guess is he's making some kind of quad/offroad toy. Someone did that with a Mirage 1.2L engine recently, but using the 5-speed.
A couple of years ago, before I scrapped the shell of my Swift parts car, I sold the 1.3L DOHC engine to a guy who was going to put it in an ultralight airplane.

He wants an auto with a 3-cyl?
Maybe it's for a pusher trailer for an EV or something.

I've got a 1990 Xfi parked out front right now. As soon as it was half paid off, I got the seller to trade parking spaces with the Superbeetle. It's tags are out of date and compression is ~0 on #3 cylinder.
First thing I notice is that none of the three roof racks I have will work without external rain gutters.

Freebeard has an XFi and Stubby got an Insight!
Rejoice!
Stubby: got a thread? I had a quick look through your recent posts and didn't see it.
