subaru Impreza.

Hi,

i have a question reagarding the front grill blocking or lower valance vents ,which would be best for aero? i have a subaru Impreza.

Might help if you post a photo of the front of your car.

Also take a look in the thread below, you might see a similar condition.

It would help us to know if you have a bottom shield as pictured above.

From what I can tell, cars with such close-offs do the block the lower part of the grille, only the upper.

The convention is to block the upper grille opening (as you see with all three Tesla cars),leaving open,only the lower opening,which is at the forward stagnation point and highest dynamic pressure.
That said,there may be peculiarities specific to the Impreza's inlet ducting (or lack thereof) which would require that you keep an eye on your temp gauge until you're confident that you're not inviting an overheat situation.
Cardboard and duct tape would tell you something in little time.
