Suitable aftermarket speedo cable VSS for MPGuino

Has anyone tried any aftermarket speedo cable VSS such as a terratrip or Brantz? If they work ok it would be easier to fit one than messing about with magnets on the driveshaft on my particular car (1997 Daihatsu move 850cc) as space is limited. Any advice gratefully received.
Huw

you mean like take one of these and point it at a wheel or cv bolt?

1GT101DC Honeywell Industrial Hall Effect / Magnetic Sensors

that particular device looks well suited for the task as it will take 12 volts in and send 12 volts out.

thanks, but I was thinking more of the units for aftermarket tripmeters, that screw in between the speedo cable and the gearbox. No bracketry that way

To answer my own question, I have fitted a Brantz speed sensor to the transmission /speedo cable joint, and it works perfectly. Obtained from Survmaster in UK.
