Look into the 305/350ci V6 from60's- 70's GMC pick ups ( not Chevy they had straight 6) peek tq around 1800 redline 3500ish.
It was designed ad a diesel with a last minute change to gas with spark plugs squeezed into the glow plug holes and gas compression piston ( low / mid 7's IIRC) happy idle ~400rpm. SBC 400ci sized piston.
It was a farmers favorite as idling for 12-18hr daily for decades
Look into turbo charging specific to low rpm ( wastgate sized to handle mid - high rpm folw without overspeeding turbo. There is no replacement for displacement making torque and that is what a turbo dose artificial displacement . 14.7psi boost at sealed level doubles displacement.
