Supercharger Tuning- electric "supercharger"

Oh, snap! It's Son Of ERam!

What is up with those dyno graphs?

I could see this working
On a bicycle.. as a motor. |
Audi recently released a prototype which uses an electric-driven compressor, but it has a housing similar to the one of a regular turbo.
|
I think I heard of that one , If I remember correctly it makes 250hp
unlike this one that barely (if) keeps up with the inlet air speed. 2lbs of boost is good for nothing I have a Boost gauge on my Beetle so I know how weak 2psi is , its totally unnoticeable when driven. |

for $180 you can smoke your tires!!!! I love this quote from a happy customer: " I immediatly noticed power gain when I floored the car." question? how do you floor a car........ |

I realise this has been debunk many times, but:
Car manufacturers have taken all sorts of loads off the engine and replaced them with electrical loads, power steering, A/C compressors, electric water pumps etc. An electric supercharger that delivered sufficient CFM and only worked to boost acceleration (rather than all the time like a traditional supercharger) could give a downsized engine power when needed without the need for a complex turbo retro fit or the MPG hit of a constantly spinning supercharger. |
Makes sense...
