I liked impaling the box with oven thermometers, but if he'd started with a hemisphere or octagon with hip roof (tacked down the cloth) the turbo could've had a tangential shot.
He's going with a simple curve, but moving everything into a hot-boxed room could make it work. ....and maybe a vacuum bag.
