Just thought I'd see if Suzuki is listening!? Check out the links below, would be interesting to see a Chevy version of this and rebadged to introduce as a new Metro! How cool would that be! Anyway... clickables below...

The current Swift is really, really cool. Of course they don't sell it in the US. The 3-door in particular is quite fetching.

@Johnny Mullet: the Aveo is a Daewoo Kalos, not a Suzuki. In Canada, to be confusing, Suzuki dealers sold the Aveo/Kalos as the Suzuki Swift+, but it's still a Daewoo. It's GM's fault, essentially.

Hi,

It looks decent -- what is the engine and the weight?

Is the Suzuki swift a more powerful clone of the aveo? Certain interior parts and body panels look identical to the aveo.

I looked into getting one for the three back seat requirement. Good looking, asian so it should last forever etc. Apparently it's a pig on fuel and eats tires in a flash:SUZUKI SWIFT - countrycars.com.au
New Look Suzuki Swift - Autocar
The tyre eating swift - Team-BHP
Nobody needs this much hassle in their lives. We have enough on our hands, bailing out banks etc. Sorry to rain on the parade but it's a no go area.

yeah, after watching that video. I felt like it was just a small car that looks good on gas but really is like every other car in this world. Newer model = bigger car = bigger engine = worse gas mileage! WAKE UP MANUFACTURES!!!

Copy the ol' Metro idea Small Car (low weight) = smaller engine = better gas mileage! Duuuh! Oh and if you copy the Prius electric engine and throw that in you'll get even better gas mileage albeit at the cost of weight savings.
