If you are serious in your advanture of doing this it maybe a good idea for us to use a sg2 hp rating and measure at various speeds on level surface to get an idea if it would improve mpg, stay the same or lower it. From my use of the gen 2 it seems 45 is about the fastest you can go and coast a great distance before air and or rolling resistance catches up with you. This is where you get the best mpg. 55 mph seems about the best compromise of mpg vs mph. You also get that E flat sound like right before an engine lugs. More throttle at this point causes the cvt to reduce gearing to accelerate.
