Are those PVC stand-offs? I'm not seeing wood this time around.
When you're painting the topside of the aluminum will you shoot the galvanized steel as well?

Yes, the standoffs are PVC as they don't need to be super structural fer what they do.
Not looking to paint the galvanized slotted angle fer the moment as I'll have to strip the galvanized coating off before I can paint it or find some specialized paint fer galvanized steel.
I'm slowly transitioning out of my wood phase as it's proven to me what worked and what didn't as far as designs went. I only have a few wood pieces left after the rear crossbeam is replaced.

Surely you could just degrease the zinc galvanizing? Using Marine Clean or equivalent?
I mocked up a zeppelin boat tail in redwood, but then tore it down again and I have pieces in Alumipanel (it's kind of like PolyMetal with a bumpy texture) but I should resolve the gas vs electric question before I get deeper into that.
Keep up the good work.

Rear crossbeam is cut and bolted in place! Now to match up the framing fer the main belly pan.

That could easily apply to anyone who has modded their vehicle(s) with a belly pan, grill block, boat tail, wheel covers, aero cap, or any other aerodynamic mod if that's what yer trying to imply.

The only implication was that the size of the thumb you might be under varies state by state. Plan accordingly.
And by the individual [road-side] authority's definition of 'hidden'. Police were looking behind people's headlights in the 1970s.
Mine is an interesting case — the shotgun seat is substituted with a raised deck (filled with road flares, reflective triangles, etc.). It's obviously there, is it hidden? Less so than a spare tire compartment under the floor of a trunk.
In any case that's a lot of room. Holding tanks?

Nope, not storing anything under there. Just dead air space...
