It would feature a 45hp 0.8L 2-cyl turbodiesel with roughly the same torque of that naturally-aspirated 60hp 1.7L Fiat engine from the 90's. Even if Tata wouldn't end up with a Diesel-powered Nano, that engine would still fit like a glove for the Indica.

I think they could more likely use the 1.3 Multijet or the 1.1 KIA unit.The NANO is really a dead end IMHO. Interesting though.

In terms of safety, it's probably important to remember that this is meant to be an alternative to a motorbike.

Unfortunately, even if this could be brought over legally it would probably go nowhere. The Chevy Spark is likely the closest we'll get.
