thinking about new wheels

If i were to go to a 8.5 inch wheel from the 6 inch, with the same tire height and weight, how badly would it possibly affect FE???
I mean same weight and diameter, only width will change.... couldnt be much huh?

Im wanting to put some corvette wheels on my truck, and yes i know i will probably loose some FE, but how much?!! Thinking about the 09 Split spoke in competition gray

From what I've read, the increase in drag on the new wheels might have the largest negative effect on fuel economy. The wheels themselves might actually be lighter, so your starts and acceleration will actually take less energy. For things like this, it seems that the only way to truly know is to try it out.
