One car, three colors. Should have been the Batmobile.

Quote:
Fabricated in 1936 by Batavia native & inventor, Charles Thomas, the Rocket car was wise beyond its years with technologies that were decades ahead of the cars time. Low-set headlamps, hidden hinges, a dual cylinder, padded dash, four-wheel independent suspension even a rear view “camera” were all incorporated by the inventor who designed the car as part of his GM Institute of Technology graduate program in 1935.
I'm curious about the periscope/camera or whatever on the red car.

Should have been painted black and put in a movie as the Batmobile.

Rear facing camera in 1935? How did that work and what was it displayed on?

It's just a periscope. They're being sensationalist.

More like an overhead rear view mirror whose view isn’t obstructed by the limited size of the rear window or by the heads of people and items being carried inside the car, important since it has no side mirrors.
