Timing a 93 civic dx...

Tuned my 93 civic dx today and was looking at a confusing chilton for timing procedures and if I understood it right it said to jumper the grn\wht and the brn connector behind the passenger kick on '92s but not to jumper 93-95s. I went ahead and warmed it up and set the timing with no jumper and it seems to be running well. Somebody also suggested dissconnecting the negative battery lead for a minute after I was all thru to reset the computer. Any thoughts? Thanks! Rick

I don't know the 92+ cars specifically, but if you followed the procedure and it's running fine, sounds like you did it right. You can reset the ECU if you really want to (on the 88-91 cars you pull the fuse for the hazard lights to do that, I think!) but it shouldn't be necessary.
