Token expired and killed my post. Bad Token!
This one drives me crazy. I start a post and finish it the next day, post it and it gets eaten by the expired token. I have been trying to remember to copy the post to the clipboard before I post but I'm not the most rememberful person around. today I lost an hour of work to the evil token:mad:
Any way to fix this so when you go back your work is still there? (short of me buying $29.95 memory tapes and a set of jinsu knives) |

I assume you are using the "Remember" option when you login, but it still kicks you out at midnight? Interesting. I don't remember posting between days, but I am sure I have. Sometimes when I am doing a long post, I copy/paste to Notepad to compose it. That way I don't lose it later. Maybe not a good solution, but at least a workaround. CarloSW2 |
been there done that. i've not experienced it, that i can remember, since i use the remember me at log-in.

I'm set for auto login and remember me but it still does it.
I guess I will have to start a mantra: Copy before post...copy before post...copy before post... |
I use, and love, Firefox version 3.5.2.
Expired token? Hit the Back button, and there's all your text. You can also use Ctrl-Z to undo thing that happen in a text entry box. Closed a tab and later wished you hadn't? Look under Recently Closed Tabs for the most recent ten tabs. |

orange4boy - What browser/version are you using? CarloSW2 |
I'm not sure which version of FF I have, but usually if I get a post eaten, the text isn't there when I go back. Of course, I often use quick reply boxes because I don't normally need to compose long posts.
One thing I do before posting is hit "CTRL+A", then "CTRL+C" in a single motion before clicking "Post Quick Reply". A is "Select All" C is "Copy" If it eats your posts, you just click in the quick reply box and hit "CTRL+V" - paste. These are standard keyboard short cuts, almost all programs use them. |
ctrl+c is my friend too
expired posts are fail i pwn them now |
This has happened to me as well -- but I think I may have a way to avoid it: open another tab, open to EM Forum, click Recent Posts, and then turn on Reload Every -- an addon that can reload a page at regular intervals.

I have a picture of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it. |
