Toyota and Fokker, something in common.

Vertically stacked wing planes. Toyota filed a stackable wing patent for an aerocar. An elastomeric (inflatable?) wing shape that could be deformed according to stacking or required aerodynamic foil shape. In lieu of single wingspan, they are going for narrower but multiple wings' lift.
Is Toyota Working on a Ridiculous Flying Car?
